Facility: Wellstar MCG Health



Job Summary:




This position collects and analyzes data to create workflow models to define updates and refinements to processes
within Revenue Cycle. Work then continues with updates and new builds in patient management software systems as
needed to achieve proposed efficiencies in workflow and processes.


Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:




Meticulously documents all approvals for updates and changes authorized to the patient management
software. Builds and updates in non-production domains then carefully tests and documents the results of
these tests before updating production and testing again. All changes are documented leaving a clear and
understandable trail that can easily be followed.
Works collaboratively with organization leadership teams to identify performance improvement
opportunities. Participates in future state design sessions after performing gap analysis of current state.
Translates future state designs into innovative solutions utilizing new functionality within patient
management software.
Meets regularly with departmental leadership and education team to plan communication and
implementation of new processes and procedures to end users. Focuses on increased system functionality
to achieve operational efficiencies by investigating issues and then devising software solutions.
Position must stay abreast of current functionality within existing PM system, be aware of and evaluate
usefulness of future upgrades and enhancements to PM system, and maintains current knowledge of
industry standards always striving to find more efficient methods.
Works continuously to to improve workflow processes, increase efficiency, decrease costs, optimize
throughput and address quality of output resulting in ever greater patient and provider satisfaction.
Maintains system dictionaries, tables, and guides (IDX and Provider Master).
Performs other duties as assigned

Required Minimum Education:


  • Bachelors General





Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):




All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.





    Additional License(s) and Certification(s):






    Required Minimum Experience:




    Minimum 3 years Patient Access or Software Programming Required or
    Minimum 7 years Medical Office, IT with Software Programming duties. Preferred and


    Required Minimum Skills:




    Strong Microsoft Office acumen: Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint
    Excellent communication (written and oral)
    Excellent technical skills and PM system knowledge
    Adept at creating workflow diagrams
    Experience in process simulations.
    Microsoft Office Certified- preferred
    Master at creating WF diagrams using Visio or the like- preferred
    IDX and CPOE background- preferred
