Summary:
Conducts the Medical Staff credentialing process
Required Work Experience: 1 years experience in a Credentials Verification Organization or a health-care related credentials department.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate documents, i.e. agenda, committee minutes, timelines, as needed.Maintains accurate, up to date credentialing database, including editing of data, monitoring of expireables and applicable notifications to providers in a timely manner.Serves as a resource for inquiries regarding credentialing components and process. Effectively communicates with providers and/or their delegates throughout the credentialing/reappointment processProcesses applications for initial appointment, reappointment and requests for privileges in accordance to state and federal regulations, accreditation guidelines, Medical Staff bylaws and departmental policy and procedureDemonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with keen attention to details. Ability to maintain confidentiality
