WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design, analyze, and develop mechanical systems, components, and products.
• Create 3D models, CAD drawings, and specifications for mechanical systems using engineering software.
• Model and document existing hardware
• Perform simulations and tests to evaluate the performance and durability of designs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical design issues or failures.
• Ensure all designs meet safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
• Participate in the preparation of technical documentation, including reports, specifications, and user manuals.
• Work with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and components.
• Support the assembly, testing, and commissioning of prototypes or production systems.
• Continuously stay updated on new technologies and trends in mechanical engineering.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

• B.S. in engineering or related and 5 years' experience in high-mix, technical, manufacturing environment or master's degree in mechanical engineering.
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks
• Familiarity with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) tools.
• Preferred: Familiar with control systems or opto-mechanical interfaces.

Compensation

Salary Minimum: $140,000

Salary Maximum: $170,000
