The University of South Alabama’s Maintenance department is seeking to hire a Maintenance Dispatcher. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.
Essential Functions These are the job duties required of the position.
Essential Functions
Performs a variety of secretarial, clerical and administrative duties.
Performs functions that are varied in subject matter and level of difficulty range from performing standardized clerical and special assignments to perform routine administrative duties which would otherwise require the supervisor’s personal attention.
Receives work orders from multiple work order systems, contacts requester to clarify requested task, assigns and dispatches a trade and/or craft, tracks progress, attaches documents, enters critical data and finishes or/closes work orders.
Receives and routes telephone calls and answers routine questions regarding standard policies and procedures for the department.
Serves as office receptionist, greets, announces, and routes visitors.
Maintains departmental calendar, alphabetical and chronological files.
Coordinates with contractors and vendors to supply personnel with essential items, uniforms, and materials.
Develops and maintains forms, databases, and spreadsheets.
Works with limited supervision.
Regular and prompt attendance.
Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime hours as required.
Related duties as required.
