Position Summary



The Credit Representative will be is responsible for the collections of customer accounts, reducing accounts receivable delinquency, and assisting with other aspects of risk mitigation with respect to receivables (credit granting, lien management, etc.).



Requirements



  • Making outbound collection calls in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations.

  • Identify & resolve customer billing problems and reduce accounts receivable delinquency, applying good customer service in a timely manner.

  • Monthly & quarterly reporting and communication with sales and management on the status of collection efforts and issues attributing to account delinquency and recommendations to reduce delinquency.

  • Provide timely follow-up on payment arrangements and general account follow up.

  • Complete and return all waivers and releases in a timely manner.

  • The ability to read, interpret and present monthly aging reports.




Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or related discipline or equivalent industry experience preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of collections experience preferable in the construction industry, including interaction with a large customer base.




Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



  • Strong professional communication, problem solving and analytical skills required.

  • Ability to self-direct and quickly respond to changing priorities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel and Word.

  • Proficiency in JDE is preferred, but not required.

  • Ability to work proficiently in multiple operating systems.

  • Notary Public (or willing to obtain).

  • Experience in the construction aggregates and ready-mix industry is preferred.

  • Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy.

  • Independent judgment and problem solving.

  • Working knowledge of mechanic's lien law particularly Texas.




Physical & Travel Requirement



  • Must be able to communicate clearly on telephone

  • Must be able to use office equipment including PC, adding machine, fax machine, printers, etc. for up to 10 hours per day.

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time

  • Must be able to work in office environment

  • Must be able to work up to 12 hours per day for extended periods.

  • Must be able to do occasional local travel for site visits, support or trainings.
