SUMMARY
SHRM Labs is the workplace innovation lab and venture arm of SHRM, dedicated to advancing workplace technology solutions. Through programs like the WorkplaceTech Accelerator, SHRM Labs empowers HR leaders and organizations by providing access to cutting-edge solutions and resources to shape the future of work.
The Workplace Innovation Specialist, will play a critical role in supporting the execution and growth of SHRM Labs’ WorkplaceTech Accelerator (WTA). This role involves managing day-to-day program operations, supporting participating startups, and ensuring seamless delivery of programming and resources. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about workplace innovation and technology.

Responsibilities:
Program Coordination: Oversee daily operations of the WorkplaceTech Accelerator, including scheduling, logistics, and communication with cohort companies, mentors, and internal/external stakeholders.
Startup Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for accelerator participants, providing resources, addressing inquiries, and coordinating mentorship opportunities.
Event Management: Plan and execute program events, including workshops, webinars, pitch events, receptions and demo day.
Data Management: Maintain accurate records of participant progress, program metrics, and stakeholder engagement using SHRM Labs’ proprietary data systems.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including mentors, sponsors, and SHRM members, to deliver a high-impact experience for program participants.
Marketing and Communication Support: Assist in creating program-related content, including newsletters, promotional materials, and updates for social media and SHRM Labs’ website.
Reporting: Track and report program performance and outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and growth.
Cross-Program Support: Assist with other SHRM Labs programs ensuring alignment and providing logistical and operational support
Education & Experience Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in project management, business, or equivalent relevant work experience/training
Experience
Required
At least three (3) years of relevant work experience with at least one year of experience in program coordination, project management, or startup/ accelerator programs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools like Microsoft Office Suite, Notion, or similar platform
Experience building and managing partnerships with key stakeholders and managing and maintaining relationships
Interest in HR technology and workplace innovation
Preferred
Familiarity or interest with HR technologies and future of work
Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
Entrepreneurial spirit, and/or startup or accelerator experience.
Knowledge about or exposure to venture capital
Ability to assess business potential of workplace tech startups.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.
Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

The hiring range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 per year. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. SHRM offers a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package.
