Role reports to: VP, Operations Strategy & Performance

Location: Summit, NJ

Travel %: 15% (Domestic and International)

What you will do

The Global Operations Segment Leader has dual role . In one part provides leadership support and coordination while representing the global Supply Chain organization in the Global Essential Health (EH) board to ensure a reliable supply chain exists, and is shaped by the long-term, end-to-end supply chain strategy and the business strategy for the global Segment s . In addition, the Global Operations Segment Leader will also have the Operations Leadership role in ONE key Global Brand Development Team .

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Supply Chain Leadership :


  • Act as a strategic partner to the Segment Leader , aiding in the development and execution of strategies.
  • Establish Segment -specific supply chain g uardrails to achieve sustainable gross profit levels.
  • Provide Segment -specific leadership and insights for supply chain strategy development and execution.
  • Support the annual financial business planning process in coordination with Global Segment Operations leadership.

Acquisition & Divestitures

I nitial supply chain point of contact for A&D projects to coordinate across all supply chain functions to ensure expected value is achieved.

Network Optimization - T ranslate the Business Strategy into critical inputs for an optimized network design.

Global Portfolio Management (New Product Development & Life Cycle Management projects)


  • Leader in the Global Segment Forum to e nsure the portfolio meets strategic goals though a successful pipeline .
  • Leadership and direction of the Global Project Management team for the respective segment .
  • Key partner in the disciplined utilization of Global Portfolio & Project Management capabilities (tools and processes) and standards
  • Ensure compliance with data accuracy standards for portfolio reviews.

Operations Brand Development Team Leadership


  • Advisor to the Brand Development Team in shaping Business Strategy and leading coordination of operations execution .


  • Confirm 3-year product strategies for each platform within the brand or need state.


  • Understan d and advise on growth drivers, opportunities, challenges, and risks from an operational perspective.


  • Link strategies to sufficiency and gross profit targets, inclusive of identifying significant initiatives and launches.


  • Enable market/regional collaboration on category pacing and rhythm.


  • Collaborate with Global Retail Excellence to manage inventory risks for innovation launches.


  • Drive visibility to financial and operational risks supporting the innovation calendar.


  • Understand financial and operational impacts at the market/regional level.


  • Align with Commercial and R&D leaders on trade-offs between volume, NTS, NTSLC, GP, and investment.


  • Drive segment gross profit improvement through accretive N ew Produc t Development and cross-regional/platform projects.


  • Working with source leadership, d evelop raw material and packaging source strategies.


  • Create a network proposal based on 3-year volume projections, confirming siting and capacity within the region.


  • Collaborate with regions and networks to align on manufacturing capabilities, including internal, external, PED, and capital investment.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management , Engineering or Science Base d related field


  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in operations management


  • Demonstrated direct people manager experience is required


  • Exceptional negotiation , influencing , communication , and stakeholder management skills


  • Influence & drive change in a cross-functional, cross-regional matrixed organization


  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams


  • Experience in project management and process improvement methodologies


  • Experience l ead ing global complex cross-functional teams and projects


  • Demonstrated experience l ead ing and develop ing talent and a high performing team


  • Ability to u nderstand and participate in the resolution of technical challenges and technical advancements

Desired Qualifications


  • Related experience in E2E Leade rship including manufacturing, distribution, planning & logistics , project management, procurement, engineering, or R&D


  • Proven track record working with commercial leaders


  • Proven track record of implementing innovative strategies to improve operational efficiency


  • Process Excellence/Six Sigma Certification


  • PMP Certification


  • General consumer goods business experience

What's in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $168,000 - $289,000 . This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
