Role Description:
The Regional EHS Manager is responsible for supporting the EHS Director as well as assigned plants in the development and management of Ardagh's safety and environmental programs and projects, and for needed controls.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with local EHS Supervisors on a day-to-day basis and establish working partnerships with the goal of assisting in compliance or other relevant issues.
  • Develop and maintain EHS written programs and related documents (forms, templates, etc.).
  • Oversee management of internal audits, including conducting audits, generating reports, and generating relevant action items and tracking of same.
  • Perform analysis of EHS data to identify trends and data points indicating where action is needed.
  • Responsible for managing vendor programs, including audiometric exams, industrial hygiene, safety shoes, hearing protection, etc.
  • Guide sites in development of permit applications, including those that are Title V-related and POTW-related.
  • Guide sites in ISO compliance programs.
  • Responsible for preparing EHS reports, both internal monthly reports and external reports (Form R, bi-annual waste reports, etc.).
  • Oversee sustainability program management and assistance to sites, including assisting sites with their monthly reporting.
  • Ensure the local EHS Supervisors are up to date training program management, including conducting, producing content, managing the online training system, and site training matrices.
  • Manage incident investigation and management, including leading investigation teams, facilitating root cause discussion, create action plans, develop Safety Alerts, track closure of action items.
  • Manage development of annual site and sector EHS budgets and on capital projects.



Requirements:
  • Minimum of BS degree in relevant technical field (relevant work experience may be considered as alternate).
  • 5 - 10 years blended experience in managing EHS.
  • Experience in dealing with regulatory agencies (both local municipality and State).
  • Technical Certification in either safety (CSP, CHMM, CIH, PE, etc.) or Progressive work experience leading to current position.

The anticipated base annual salary range for this role is between $108,700.00 and $163,100.00 per year. This role is bonus eligible. The bonus incentive program is based on company meeting or exceeding targets. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate and is only applicable for roles that are based out of Illinois. The final salary will be determined after considering relevant factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's qualifications, experience, and work location, where appropriate.
