The Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales and exceeding their new business sales quota while cultivating strong relationships with assigned brokers and consultants. An experienced sales role for a motivated individual that is focused on achieving results.
Responsibilities:
• New business sales role that is responsible for achieving new business sales quota through sales of small and large employer group sponsored medical insurance of all funding types
• Develop new business opportunities with a focus on large group employer business to support corporate growth goals
• Cultivates strong, positive relationships with assigned brokers and consultants
• Takes a proactive approach on cases, working with brokers to negotiate product, pricing and services to meet clients' needs
• Exhibits the following sales executive behaviors: drive, results-focused, competitive, detailed, knowledgeable, curious and committed
• Develops an annual new business plan and recommends strategies for growth with brokers and consulting partners
• Develops and maintains expertise on products and services as well as industry trends
• Collaborates with underwriting on new business opportunities to identify opportunities for profitable growth
• Coordinates with account support teams and other internal departments as necessary to support successful implementation activities
• Documents all broker activities in CRM
• Communicates and identifies sales opportunities with sales management
• May participate on assigned projects where new business representation is needed
• Hold self and others accountable to meet commitments.
• Ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion are integrated as a guiding principle.
• Persist in accomplishing objectives to consistently achieve results despite any obstacles and setbacks that arise.
• Build strong relationships and infrastructures that designate the Mass General Brigham Health Plan as a people-first organization.
Qualifications
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of training and experience, plus 3-5 years of related experience.
• Licensed to sell Health and Disability Insurance in Massachusetts
• 3-5 years of sales executive experience Preferred Skills:
• Prior health plan Sales experience
• New business Sales experience
