Responsible for overseeing the patient registration process, ensuring accurate and efficient collection of patient demographic and insurance information

Essential Functions
-Coordinate and oversee the patient registration process, ensuring timely and accurate collection of patient information.


-Verify insurance coverage for patients and ensure accurate and complete documentation of insurance information.


-Coordinate patient admissions in collaboration with healthcare providers, nurses, and other relevant staff.


-Provide financial counseling to patients, explaining insurance coverage, billing processes, and payment options.


-Provide support to a team of registration staff, providing guidance, training, and support.


-Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, including privacy laws.



Qualifications


Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required and Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study preferred

Licenses and Credentials


Experience
Experience in healthcare registration or patient accounts. 3-5 years required


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of healthcare registration processes, insurance verification, and billing procedures.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in gathering and documenting patient information.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to address registration issues and resolve patient concerns.
- Proficiency in using healthcare software systems, electronic health records, and registration software.
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive patient experience.
