Job Summary Under the direction of the evening manager, performs a wide variety of manual and automated laboratory procedures utilizing independent judgment and maintaining responsibility for assigned duties. Must be familiar with all phases of the laboratory to include urinalysis and urine microscopy. Must be computer literate and have a basic understanding of computer interfaces. Must also be familiar with specimen processing protocols for both inpatient and outpatient procedures.

Qualifications - External
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Windows.
Able to communicate and write in English for the communication and documentation of work duties.
Clinical internship as part of an Associate or Bachelor's degree program or one year post degree experience within a CLIA laboratory performing high complexity testing required
Bachelor's degree from a university or college in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS), Medical Technology (MT), or Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) or
Bachelor's degree in related science with experience defined above.
Certification eligible: ASCP or equivalent (NCA, AMT, HEW) required
MT, CLS, MLS (ASCP) or equivalent (NCA, AMT, HEW) preferred
