Job Summary The Opportunity: Patient Care Associate- Ellison 4 / Surgical Intensive Care Unit
Why This Role Is Important? Ellison 4 is Surgical ICU unit caring for a wide range of surgical and trauma patients. The patient population is diverse and includes general, thoracic, trauma, vascular, orthopedic, gynecologic, and obstetric surgeries. Our goal is to deliver the highest quality patient centered care to patients and families for a successful and safe hospital experience. PCA assists multi-disciplinary health care team by assisting patients with daily living needs, monitoring & reading vital signs, drawing blood, obtaining EKGs.
Qualifications
required: Must have Recent experience, and/or training, in clinical patient care.
preferred: Licensed, certified, or enrolled student in a Nursing Assistant, medical Assistant, Mental health Technician, or EMT accredited Program, At the time of hire, or
candidate enrolled in a Nursing, pre-Med, PA Undergraduate Program, with At least One semester of patient care rotations completed, At time of hire.

8 or 12-hour shifts
