General Summary/ Overview: The Cloud Platform team is responsible for the Architecture, Engineering, and Operations of all things Cloud. Working closely with the Cloud COE to coordinate the development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of all IT Service Management processes and functions in the Cloud for all sites and organizations within Mass General Brigham. Under the direction of the Cloud Platform Director, the Cloud DevOps Manager will work closely with the Cloud COE, Service Now Team, the Cyber Security Team, the Governance/Risk/Compliance teams, and other IT Service Owners to understand the day-to-day operations of the fast-paced Enterprise IT Organization with the goal of fully capitalizing on and realizing the capabilities of the different Cloud platforms. The manager will manage a team of DevOps engineers deliver new functionality and maintains updates to Cloud services across all supported Clouds. This position will require out-of-the-box thinking, effective decision-making, collaboration, diligence, and ownership to overcome obstacles and achieve team success. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: • Accountable for Cloud DevOps which includes Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Microservices, Infrastructure as Code, Monitoring and Logging, Communication and Collaboration • Being responsible for managing all Cloud infrastructure-related issues. • Exhibiting high-level end-to-end understanding of web application design, construction deployment, and delivery. • Working with the engineers in the team and maintaining a proper communication with them. • Creating and defining monitoring operational standards with configurations. • Evaluate new tools and technology to improve product speed, efficiency, and scalability. • To enhance the team's effort without any difficulties. • To plan, build and configure test solutions. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop; kneel; or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Normal office working conditions. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate. Supervisory Responsibilities: • Manage Cloud DevOps team for Cloud platform IaC and collaborate with Cloud COE • Directly manage ~5-10 staff • Attract and retain qualified talent and provide leadership development, corrective action, etc. • Work collaboratively with MGB Digital PMO and Human Resources to assure effective and efficient business practices



Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree or greater in Computer Science or a related discipline or 10 years related experience • 5+ years of experience converting business requirements into workable solutions as a software developer • 5+ years of programming proficiency with many languages • 5+ years of experience leading technical projects, or technical components of enterprise projects • 5+ years of leading teams • ITIL Certification a strong plus • DevOps/Manage Certification(s) Skills/Abilities/Competencies: • Possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with cross functional teams including staff at all levels of the organization • Ability to successfully negotiate and collaborate with others of different skill sets, backgrounds an levels within and external to the organization • Strong problem solving and negotiation skills • Ability to effectively conduct meetings, both formal and informal • Requires minimal direction from leadership and possesses the ability to learn quickly
