CALIBRE, an employee-owned management consulting and digital transformation company is looking for a Network Engineer, to support business systems infrastructure. Must be able to test and document system behavior, performance, and security. Ability to plan, design, and troubleshoot local and wide area network infrastructure, including routers, firewalls, switches, gateways, DNS servers, DHCP servers, clustering solutions, and related hardware, software, and services. Configuring and troubleshooting VOIP phones with Cisco call manager. Understanding of configuring and troubleshooting DNS including Zone transfers, Forwarders, and Records. Supervise and mentor junior colleagues.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for activities related to system administration
Assigns personnel to various projects, directs their activities, and evaluates their work
Ensures long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information
systems planning of the organization
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software
Implements operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system
Manages network performance and maintains network security
Requires strong knowledge of PC / Network communications hardware / software, in a multi-protocol environment and network management software
Preferred Skills:
Understanding of IP addresses, subnets, and gateways
Basic commands to trouble shoot network issues on client computers
Experience in network connectivity to VOIP phones and client machines
Experience in troubleshooting and understanding of basic WIFI connectivity
Essential Functions:

Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or 1 - 2 years’ equivalent work experience
Appropriate Certifications: Security+, Cisco CCENT or greater.
