Procurement Manager Chemicals/Sterilization:
For the assigned (sub-)category(ies), this associate is:
Responsible for providing key inputs into the global category team including providing regional business requirements; regional supply market conditions and supply practices.
Accountable for implementing sourcing strategies regionally, and for and supplier selection.
Responsible for ensuring that the implementation of category strategy results in the delivery of savings and value streams, and where appropriate, innovation opportunities
Continually sensing of internal customers and supply markets for changes that may impact the sourcing strategy.
Accountable for year-on-year financial accountability for assigned category(ies) with respect to price movement
Responsible for leading a category team through the supplier selection process and for the approval of selected suppliers by stakeholders.
The team-based supplier selection process is inclusive of identification of potential suppliers, RFX development and execution, proposal evaluation against business requirements and total cost of ownership, and supplier selection recommendation. Upon stakeholder approval and completion of successful negotiation and contracting, the associate is responsible for coordinating the communication of the supply base to the end user community.
Responsible for negotiation planning, negotiation and contracting with suppliers, and ensuring that agreements reflect BD's needs regionally.
Responsible for executing supplier relationship management (SRM) activities for key assigned suppliers within the assigned (sub-)category (ies), with oversight regarding supplier relationship management activities for suppliers who may have specific regional activities
Responsible for application of the source to pay process, inclusive of customer-centric support content and preferred payment methods, as part of sourcing strategies
Responsible for customer relationships with stakeholders for assigned (sub-)category(ies)
Minimum Requirement:
Degree level qualification; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
