Position Purpose The Counter Sales position supports the HVAC Equipment part sales, increasing parts sales and providing excellent customer service in-person and over the phone. This position will fulfill parts orders and assist in the overall operation of the warehouse. Boost sales of equipment and temperature control parts through effective phone support and direct customer engagement.
Respond promptly to customer inquiries, handling parts’ requests across all business units and product lines.
Manage warranty claims for equipment parts, ensuring timely replacements.
Support the Warehouse Supervisor and Accounting by resolving customer collection issues, ensuring proper compensation for the work performed, including tasks beyond contractual obligations.
Assemble special-order valves and provide general support on part-related matters, ensuring smooth warehouse operations.
Assist with inventory management by processing orders and maintaining optimal stock levels.
Contribute to the upkeep of a clean, organized, and functional warehouse, including exterior grounds maintenance.
Maintain high performance standards and continuously improve technical knowledge in equipment parts, control parts, HVAC systems, and general control systems.
Adhere to all safety regulations, including LONG and OSHA guidelines, and practice defensive driving by following traffic laws and the LONG safe driver policy, avoiding confrontational driving situations.
Follow site-specific safety protocols, including the use of required personal protective equipment, and operate all power tools, hand tools, and instruments safely to complete tasks.
Ensure accurate tracking of inventory and maintain up-to-date accounts receivable records within the accounting system.

Qualifications
1 year trade school and 3 years’ related work experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently while taking full responsibility and accountability.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in computer applications.
Excellent organizational and planning abilities, ensuring efficient workflow and project management.
Preferred Qualifications
HVAC/warehouse experience
Certified operation of a Forklift
