Job Summary
The HR Specialist develops solutions requiring analysis and research related to HR program implementation, initiatives, change management, and business execution. Working under limited supervision, independently performs assignments that support mid-size to large initiatives, projects and programs within an assigned department or business unit. Applies a broad knowledge of Human Resources and business operations to their work and coordinates initiatives across various groups, interacting with HRBPs, department managers, partner groups and staff. The HR Specialist works directly under the supervision of a Senior Director-HRBP.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Develops, maintains and applies functional, technical, and business knowledge in the assigned line of business.


  • Conducts analysis of programs, initiatives, and change management needs.


  • Acts as lead with multiple project/program activities. Ensures that the HRBP function achieves milestones and monitors progress to meet business partner's needs/objectives.


  • Evaluates and coordinates the systems, processes and procedures component of projects including the use of tasks, tables, templates, reports, etc.


  • Facilitates the deployment, enforcement, enhancement and use of methodologies and procedures within the Human Resource accountabilities to improve the quality of service provided to our clients.


  • Coordinates projects which may involve multiple departments, and ensures proper handling of inter-project milestones and dependencies.


  • Collaborates with HRBPs, Business stakeholders, and various staff to complete deliverables.


  • Coordinates the more matrixed initiatives within the department that may or may not be of a project nature but require the involvement of multiple groups.


  • Maintains a detailed plan for each deliverable; updates the plan to accurately reflect the progress and status.


  • Communicates comprehensive updates to HR, and management on the state of deliverables and initiatives.


  • Ensures successful implementation of change programs.


  • Displays an in-depth knowledge of the HR and the assigned line of business and how it relates to the goals of the assigned work with regard to compliance and regulatory requirements.


  • Utilizes knowledge and expertise in Human Resources to expedite turnaround on assignments.


  • When requested, prepares and audits various reports for accuracy, consistency and completeness; provides analysis of data and suggestions for improved quality of reporting.


  • As assigned, may perform administrative functions related to various HR workflows.


  • May work with external vendors, and other third-party contacts.


  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as required.


  • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.


JOB REQUIREMENTS


  • Education level required: College, Vocational or associate's degree (2 years or equivalent)


  • Minimum experience required: 3+ Years


  • Minimum two years experience as a Coordinator/Specialist or equivalent experience.


  • Some professional experience of working environment in a fast-paced HR Team and with cross-functional teams and supporting different teams.


Job Competencies:


  • Comprehensive knowledge of, and the ability to apply concepts, practices and procedures used HR.


  • Comprehensive knowledge of technology and dependencies / inter-dependencies between systems.


  • Computer literate with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and database reporting and project and flowcharting.


  • Excellent project coordination, time management, and organizational skills.


  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.


  • Ability to communicate with various levels of staff and management with accuracy.


  • Good presentation skills.


  • Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.


  • Strong customer service and business focus with a great attention to detail.


  • Effective research and analysis skills.


  • Ability to lead mid to large-size projects and initiatives.


  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet established deadlines.
