Role Overview: The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for efficiently managing and maintaining the spare parts inventory, ensuring the Maintenance team is supported with timely supplies. This role is crucial to the smooth operation of the plant, providing necessary inventory support across departments.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Conduct and oversee inventory counts, including end-of-year blind counts.


  • Develop and manage an effective inventory system using the company's ERP system.


  • Clean and organize various inventory locations.


  • Track, maintain, and allocate parts using ERP systems and spreadsheets.


  • Maintain records (both physical and electronic) of packing lists, checkout sheets, and inventory count reports.


  • Handle receiving processes and locate goods in designated receiving areas.


  • Record received materials in the ERP system and tag them as required.


  • Move tagged goods to designated inventory locations.


  • Prepare kits for work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.


  • Ensure proper documentation matches all requisitions and orders.


  • Coordinate with Purchasing on quotations, requisitions, and purchase orders.


  • Collaborate with Purchasing to manage weekly reorders and maintain appropriate inventory levels.


  • Assist the Maintenance Planner as needed, keeping them informed about inventory levels and parts availability.


  • Attend planning meetings and support work order management.


  • Act as backup for the Maintenance Planner and Maintenance Supervisor when required.


  • Serve as an essential member of the Maintenance Leadership Team.


  • Conduct daily workplace exams and monthly safety audits for designated areas.


  • Promote safe work practices, adhering to all Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental policies, and other relevant guidelines.


  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Qualifications:



  • High School diploma or equivalent.


  • Minimum of 3 years of inventory experience, or a combination of relevant education and experience.


  • Preferred experience with JD Edwards (JDE) software.


  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to clarify information and respond effectively in various situations.


  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.


  • Competency in writing routine reports and correspondence.


  • Effective public speaking skills.


  • Proficiency in basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.


  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and interpret bar graphs.


  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand and execute written, oral, or diagram instructions.


  • Proficiency or willingness to learn database software, internet software, inventory software, manufacturing software, ERP software, spreadsheets, and word processing tools.
