A Day in the Life
This position offers you the opportunity to continue developing Operations Finance experience at 3 manufacturing sites located in Colorado. As a business partner you will have the responsibility to support and provide direction to all the different areas of the sites and assist them on decision making. At the same time, you will have the ability to support financial information for the campus.

This role will be based onsite in Boulder
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.


  • Perform and analyze financial modeling, economic research, trends and studies subjects such as rates of return, depreciation, working capital, cash flow, investments, and cost against budget, variance analysis, forecasting, financial planning and expense comparisons by analysis of profit and loss statements and/or income statements

  • Prepare reports of findings and recommendations, compiles and consolidates financial plans and provides insights to management

  • Develop, maintain, and establish operational specifications for financial information systems considering such things as information flow, volume, ad hoc reporting, and analysis

  • May provide analysis on business development and may monitor business performance by unit, division or group

  • Partner with operations to support them in decision making over the Colorado Campus

  • Participate in Gemba activities to provide suggestions and identify opportunities, as well participate on daily tier meetings to be support them on any financial request

  • Deep dive analysis in AOP and forecast activities to support the financials prepared, identify risks & opportunities

  • Review and explain monthly financial statements for the site leaders and the next finance level of management

Must Haves

Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of relevant finance experience an advanced degree and 5+ years of relevant finance experience

Nice to Have


  • Knowledge of general accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

  • MBA, CPA and/or CMA

  • Experience with SAP, BPCS, Hyperion Spend and/or CMR

  • Strong quantitative analysis and problem solving skills

  • Understanding of Project Accounting

  • Experience in Manufacturing Finance

  • Experience reporting Manufacturing variances: Volume, Efficiency, MUV, PPV, Labor Variance, Burden Variance, Programmatic savings, and Capital requirements

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$103,200.00 - $154,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance , Health Savings Account , Healthcare Flexible Spending Account , Life insurance, Long-term disability leave , Dependent daycare spending account , Tuition assistance/reimbursement , and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
