A DAY IN THE LIFE

Product Marketing


  • Develop and execute comprehensive product marketing programs to drive US adoption/usage of assigned products / technologies.

  • Inventory planning, including quarterly and yearly forecast and minimizing obsolescence

  • Act as a point of expertise for information on the product, target market and competitors - gather competitive intel and execute competitive campaigns to grow share.

  • Create and manage detailed product management plans, including , promotional activities, and sales initiatives to advance our value proposition.

  • Manage capital programs and pathways, including metrics around performance of programs and pathways

  • Develop deep understanding and expertise of the disease state, value proposition of the products used to treat, and the competitive landscape.

  • Develop KOL relationships, lead customer meetings, and gain physician input that can be used to build advocates and influence peripheral business strategy.

  • Support the development of programs to educate and train physicians, hospital personnel and Medtronic staff on technical matters. Support ongoing sales training and new hire training.

  • Successfully execute campaign tactics across multiple channels- sales, digital media, medical conferences, PR, advertising- and track metrics and optimize performance to drive program ROI.

  • Present to key members of the leadership team around launch status and opportunities for growth

  • Monitor sales trends and make recommendations for deeper penetration by partnering with US business leaders.

  • Understand the competitive market. Take the lead in compiling and providing regular competitive updates to marketing / senior management. Develop and distribute competitive updates and messaging to regional marketing and sales teams.

  • Cultivate key relationships with and regularly obtain feedback from customers, regional leads, and sales organization to gather information, identify needs, and assess opportunities to help drive marketing programs.

  • Develop and allocate category budget and make trade-offs to ensure investment in highest impact initiatives.

MUST HAVE: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelors degree required; MBA preferred

  • Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in marketing or advanced degree with 5+ years of relevant experience in the field of electrophysiology.


  • Communication Skills: excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Leadership Skills: proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.

  • Analytical Skills: strong ability to analyze complex data and market trends. Has good working knowledge of office suite software as excel, power point

  • Comfortable being in operating room, wearing lead, and lifting up to 25lbs. equipment X lbs ... .

  • Travel: willingness to travel up to 25% of the time for market visits, customer engagement, and internal meetings.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$128,800.00 - $193,200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance , Health Savings Account , Healthcare Flexible Spending Account , Life insurance, Long-term disability leave , Dependent daycare spending account , Tuition assistance/reimbursement , and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match , Short-term disability , Paid time off , Paid holidays , Employee Stock Purchase Plan , Employee Assistance Program , Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums) , and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).
