Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee their financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and efficient processes. This role is integral to maintaining the financial health of the company while supporting a dynamic tradeshow environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the CFO and other cross-functional teams, and will manage a team of 3-4 direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and job costing accounting
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Analyze budget-to-actual performance and provide insights for improvement
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws
- Prepare for and manage internal and external audits
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and professional development
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA designation preferred but not required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
- Experience in the tradeshow, events, construction, or a similar project-based industry is a strong plus
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to teach, train, and develop staff both from a technical perspective as well as in professional skills
