The Pricing Manager role will work closely with the Director, Pricing Strategy, in all analytical responsibilities towards price guidance optimization. The role will manage a team of analysts supporting market pricing recommendation activities. Oversee the day-to-day team operations and goals while working closely with product divisions
Set and execute pricing strategy and ensure alignment across key stakeholders.
Stay up to date on market trends, identify improvement opportunities and provide data-driven pricing recommendations, while considering qualitative business factors
Responsibilities
Conduct pricing analysis to ensure the pricing of Medline’s product offerings are market relevant and competitive. Provide recommendations to drive more accurate price guidance.
Use internal/external data and leverage advanced analytical tools to analyze pricing and develop suggested price ranges across different sales channels.
Analyze existing pricing across all market sectors, identify price/volume trends to highlight discrepancies and set expectations relative to a market segment.
Research and resolve pricing issues through root-cause analysis.
Develop a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape and major players.
Identify pricing opportunities on certain categories and/or product line and make recommendations.
Provide full pricing analysis and evaluation on market trends, PVM, risk and opportunity evaluation and other factors
Maintain pricing database and ensure system provided accurate and timely data.
Coordinates and communicate pricing information.
Present quarterly updates to key stakeholders as it relates to pricing performance, areas of improvement, and overall pricing strategy alignment.
Serve as expert for responsible function and provide project oversight, coaching, and mentoring to the pricing analysts
Management Responsibilities:
Typically oversees professional employees/teams OR manages non-professional employees through Supervisors in manufacturing, distribution or office environments
Day-to-day operations of a group of employees
May have limited budgetary responsibility and usually contributes to budgetary impact
Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects; develop, recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies
Provide general guidelines and parameters for staff functioning
Hiring staff, recommending pay increases, performing performance reviews, training and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree.
Work Experience
At least 4 years of related experience.
Advanced level skill in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Excel, PPT, etc).
Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
Experience with statistical models, price/volume analysis, elasticity analysis, financial models.
Proven track record with large data sets.
Strong communication skills and willingness to take initiative to contribute beyond basic responsibilities along with the ability to effectively present to the target audience.
Demonstrated proficiency for working in fast paced work environments in a matrixed organization and team management capability.
Experience developing and delivering presentations to various type and size audience levels within, and external to, an organization.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving mindset.
Strong business acumen and willingness to learn.
SAP experience.
SQL experience

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$110,240.00 - $165,360.00 AnnualThe actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
