Role


The Manager is responsible for leading Analysts as well as working closely with Commercial leadership to develop analytics that improve the organization’s ability to identify, target, and win profitable business.  Responsible for identifying, procuring, and maintaining datasets that support Commercial Strategy analytics and initiatives, and crafting the portfolio of modeling tools.  Primary areas of focus include assessing demand at the market, customer, and location level; market share, and win rates.  Collaborates with business leaders and other Commercial Strategy team members to leverage analytics in the design and implementation of sales enablement programs, pricing strategies and capital allocation.  Responsible for orienting work towards tangible, actionable outcomes that influence business decisions such as pricing, sales targeting, and investment decisions.


Responsibilities



  • Lead and facilitate a team of Business Analysts:

    • Promote a culture that champions company values and strives for continuous improvement.

    • Hire, train, manage, and mentor teammates for career and leadership development.

    • Work with teammates to set goals and review performance.



  • Manage the design and implementation of analytical tools and solutions to address business needs.

  • Ensure distribution and adoption of analytics outputs within the commercial organization via dashboards, reports, and engagement with stakeholders.

  • Curate commercial strategy data sources, research and recommend new data sources to enhance analysis.

  • Organize and prioritize key projects for stakeholders, keeping them informed of progress and competing priorities; deliver results in a timely manner.

  • Create insights from analyzing & interpreting data and making comparative analyses.

  • Guide sales and product leaders to make data-driven decisions.

  • Participate in problem solving and issue resolution.

  • Develops and maintains relationships with subject matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure Commercial Strategy is best supporting the company.

Education/Certifications  



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Finance, or other quantitative discipline required, MBA or advanced degree preferred


Experience/Minimum Requirements



  • Five (5)+ years of experience in a data analytics, strategy or related position.

  • Strong data story telling skills; high business acumen and ability to turn data analysis into actionable strategic insights.

  • Experience managing technical projects, data models and tools in a business environment.

  • Strong ability to effectively and efficiently communicate analytical and financial analysis to management.

  • Excellent technical skills – experience with Power BI, Alteryx, SQL, Python, R or similar platforms and languages.


Organizational Relationship  


Reports to: Senior Manager Sales Operations


Title(s) of direct reports (if applicable): Business Analyst I, II, III


Working Conditions: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in the office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.  On Mondays and Fridays, teammates on the hybrid schedule will have the option to work from the office or home.  There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter that could require travel.
