Participate in and promote regional and/or corporate initiatives and goals
Responsible for the effective supervision and the scheduling of bargaining unit employees for all Chemical Operations.
Responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing standard operating procedures and best operating practices with the bargaining unit employees - including performing field evaluations to improve overall productivity
Ensure compliance with all safety and other regulations (including F.R.A., D.O.T., RMP. and F.D.A)
Lead and coordinate discussions with employees to encourage involvement and to promote continuous improvement
Responsible for labor cost, identifying and reporting maintenance issues with appropriate departments
Position Requirements
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Minimum requirements and any additional preferred education or training: Associate Degree or equivalent military training or commensurate education and training
Ability to climb stairs, walk pipelines, climb storage tanks and carry some equipment.
Ability to investigate problems with truck loading, tank car operations, assist drivers with loading operations
Working outside including donning PPE
Remaining on-site beyond normal working hours and/or responding to site at any hour to correct problems and/or emergency situations
Experience with customer service (internal and external)
Strong planning and communications skills
Other duties as directed
Preferred experience, skills and knowledge Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position:
Field experience with automated truck racks computer systems, able to troubleshoot problems and train others on the same process (i.e. operators, drivers)
