Our Automotive Product Management team defines the strategy and supports product execution for innovative Software and Hardware that redefines vehicle sound including immersive audio and active sound management. With our innovative technology and world-class systems, every sound is more purposeful. The team is focused on defining new experiences and the platforms and enabling technologies critical to deploy these experiences to vehicles efficiently and effectively.

About the Job

We are looking for a passionate Transducer & Acoustic Structure Product Manager to join our Platform Product Management Team. This person will drive alignment with sales, engineering, and supply chain to create and execute a roadmap of acoustic hardware that supports new products and delivery models. This person will serve as the voice of the business and drive prioritization based on market trends, OEM needs, and the competitive landscape and will ultimately own the financial performance of the category.

As a Transducer & Acoustic Structure Product Manager, you will work cross-functionally to define and own the acoustic HW platform strategy through definition, development, launch, maintenance & support, and end of life. In this role it is critical to partner with other product managers to ensure that the HW Bose is leveraging in our systems will support the overall product vision while maintaining alignment with customer requirements.

Responsibilities:


  • Define transducer and acoustic structure product requirements and capabilities that deliver business value by working collaboratively with sales, marketing, engineering, supply chain, and external partners

  • Create and maintain a roadmap that is optimized for new product experiences, customer requirements, and continually evolving industry trends

  • Address and prioritize portfolio gaps based on both internal and customer feedback

  • Build business cases and drive pricing/cost targets to ensure product financial viability in support of division goals

  • Maintain critical documents and tools used to ensure product capabilities are visible to and aligned with critical stakeholders

  • Support customer engagements and new business pursuits by gathering critical information, supporting options analysis, and influencing as needed to align with category strategy

  • Ensure category needs are clearly represented in automotive processes and provide regular updates to key stakeholders on category progress, challenges, and strategies

Key Qualifications:


  • BS in relevant technical discipline (Acoustical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc) or equivalent experience

  • MBA or other advanced degree a plus

  • 5+ years of product management or other relevant experience


  • Automotive industry experience is preferred, especially as it relates to OEM requirements for development, validation, manufacturing, and quality

  • Experience working on multi-disciplinary teams, with exposure to disciplines such as systems, electrical, mechanical, materials, and manufacturing engineering

  • Audio industry experience is a plus

  • Effective communicator with experience delivering presentations to customers and leadership

  • Experience managing a product/platform from definition through end of life

  • Strong financial acumen and experience with business case development

  • Must be able to travel occasionally for business (10%)

  • Capable of effectively managing products in a matrix organization and driving results through indirect influencing
