A well-established and dynamic law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate for its general liability/professional liability practice group in the San Francisco office. The ideal candidate will have experience representing design professionals and miscellaneous professionals. We are looking for a self-starter with strong organizational skills, excellent writing and oral advocacy abilities, and significant experience in discovery and law and motion practice. This role offers hybrid work flexibility, allowing for a mix of in-office and remote work.
Responsibilities
Assist clients in resolving legal conflicts and determine the best course of action
Represent clients in court hearings and legal proceedings, providing effective legal advice
Draft and prepare legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements
Conduct legal research and collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies
Maintain organized case files to ensure efficient handling and accessibility for the legal team
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Successful completion of the bar exam and active membership in good standing with the ABA
Effective communication and problem-solving skills for working with all levels of staff and clients
Ability to collaborate with partners and attorneys to best serve client needs and grow the practice
1,850 annual billable hour target
Compensation
Salary range: $130,000 - $190,000, depending on experience level (2-4 years, 5-7 years, or 8+ years)
