Teaching Labs Technician (Physics, Semiconductor and Elec. Eng. Labs)

Posting Summary


Support the CEMS research and teaching labs with a focus on the Physics, Semiconductor and Electrical Engineering labs. Maintain all equipment in these labs along with the other CEMS technical staff. Support student projects by consulting on technical and engineering needs. Support faculty research projects through the maintenance and fabrication of experimental apparatus. Assist with technical and instructional services for specialized engineering areas, under the general supervision of the CEMS Facilities Engineer.



Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)



Associate's degree in electrical engineering or similar field. Experience with lab and workplace safety, especially electrical. Experience designing and working with scientific and technical equipment.







Desirable Qualifications


Labview, DAQ, semiconductor fields, electrical equipment manufacturing. Experience with programming.







Anticipated Pay Range


$26.00 to $29.00 per hour

Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), This position is ineligible for telework due to the essential functions, Background Check required for this position
