FINANCIAL ANAYLST II - LIFE SCIENCES OPERATIONS

The Financial Analyst II role is a detailed, hands-on role reporting to the Indianapolis Operations Finance Manager that supports Indianapolis Manufacturing through daily management reporting, forecasting, budgeting, expense variance analysis, costing, month end close and ad-hoc reporting. The candidate will collaborate with Departmental Managers and Supervisors to achieve controllable expense savings objectives. They will also partner with global operations finance colleagues to drive continuous improvements in forecasting and reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive site visibility to KPI's through daily management reporting and analysis while fostering continuous improvement by streamlining the reporting process and developing new reporting tools


• Support monthly close activities through the preparation of journal entries, research of variance drivers and month-end reporting, forecasting, budgeting and the annual standard cost setting process


• Drive GRNI (goods received not invoiced) and open invoice aging compliance through daily management and partnership with the supply chain


• Assist with special projects and ad-hoc analysis

Specific Requirements:

• Demonstrated skills in being detail oriented and able to prioritize analyzing data, preparing forecasts and producing accurate financial and operational metrics quickly and accurately


• Excellent communication (both oral and written), presentation and people skills.


• Strong to advanced MS Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables etc.) as well as proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint) required.


• Previous experience with enterprise performance management report writing (e.g. BPC, Hyperion), Oracle, Oracle Business Intelligence and/or Power BI a plus.


• B.S. in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration or similar field required.


• 1-3 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.
