Where you will work:
This position offers a hybrid work option up to 50% and is open to any Compeer office location in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin .
The contributions you will make:
This position reviews loan requests and documents the appropriate level of analysis required to make a credit decision. Issues the proper loan conditions tied to various home mortgage loan products within Compeer Home. Communicates with lending officers within the team to discuss lending alternatives, additional information required to make a lending decision and issues related to the loan request. Communicates with credit and financial officers assigned to Ag Lending relationships to ensure the loan request is in the best interest of all areas of Compeer Financial and the consumer. Reviews and provides decision on servicing actions.
A typical day:
Analyzes and provides quality, accurate credit decisions for complex loan packages across all three Compeer home mortgage products (RuraLiving, Portfolio and Freddie Mac).
Reviews and documents loan conditions and transactions to ensure compliance and credit guidelines are met.
Collaborates with Ag Lending to analyze complex farming operations with consumer loan requests.
Utilizes Freddie Mac automated underwriting and analysis tools such as Loan Product Advisor and Uniform Collateral Data Portal if applicable.
Verifies the subject property is acceptable collateral for the loan program.
Reviews the accuracy and opinion of the market value on appraisals.
Reviews comps to determine if they are comparable and adequate with the necessary marketability comments provided.
Reviews submissions and determine if all required documentation is in the file.
The skills and experience we prefer you have:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, agribusiness or related field or an equivalent combination of education.
Expert-level experience in home mortgage finance including areas such as underwriting, processing, operations, servicing and/or lending.
Solid knowledge of consumer lending, underwriting practices, compliance, regulations, and loan programs.
Solid knowledge of accounting principles and credit administration.
Solid understanding of loan processing and servicing.
Ability to make sound credit decisions independently and efficiently.
Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
Flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
Ability to remain objective in balancing business needs and risk.

The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for variable compensation and other benefits.
