Volt is immediately hiring for Header Operators in the City of Industry, CA.
As a Header Operator you will:
Responsible for setting up and operating single and multi-die headers to manufacture precision aircraft quality fasteners.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and manufacturing work orders to determine the required tools and materials.
Set up and operate assigned headers and related products to produce parts that meet specifications.
Select, mount, and align tooling attachments and materials in the correct order.
Make necessary adjustments to produce parts of acceptable quality.
Load raw materials into machines and monitor production using various measuring devices (e.g., comparators, micrometers, calipers).
Rework tooling as needed and direct others in rework activities.
Maintain accurate statistical process control (SPC) records, making adjustments during production based on SPC data.
Achieve and maintain productivity levels and quality standards to support departmental goals and schedules.
Train departmental personnel in all aspects of machine setup and operation.
Perform minor preventative maintenance on machines.
Conduct record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and follow safety regulations.

This is a full time, temp to hire opportunity. 1st (5am-1:30pm) and 2nd (1:30pm-10pm) shifts are available with possible OT
The ideal candidate will have:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Ability to read and understand blueprints.
High school diploma or GED, and a minimum of 4 years of experience in heading aircraft quality fasteners on single and multi-die machines, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Regularly required to stand, use hands to manipulate objects, and communicate effectively.
Occasionally required to walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
Noise levels in the work environment are typically very loud.
Pay Rate: $24 per hr
