Volt is immediately hiring Mechanical Finisher Assembler for a local leading Manufacturing Company in Poway
As a Mechanical Finisher Assembler you will:
Read and interpret production drawings, blueprints, sample drawings, written instructions and informal assembly drawings
Read and follow work release information and Engineering Change Order (ECO)
Positions and aligns parts in a specified relationship using jigs, fixtures, or other holding devices.
Utilizes a variety of hand and power tools for skilled fitting, assembly, and disassembly of mechanical assemblies .
Inspects parts and conducts basic tests with both traditional and non-traditional tools.
Works on assembled components, requiring manual dexterity and the use of simple hand tools, soldering equipment, volt meters, and other related test instruments.
Performs accurate mathematical calculations and uses precision measuring instruments as needed.
Operates machines like arbor presses or riveting machines to perform force fitting or fastening operations on an assembly line.
Joins or secures parts in place, adjusts and trims from components to SPECs
This is a Full-Time temp-to-hire Opportunity
The ideal candidate will have:
Requires a high school education or equivalent (GED)
Minimum of 2 years closely related mechanical assembly experience
Must be able to use small hand tools (Bandsaw, grinder, etc.)
Able to read/interpret blueprints, bill of materials, drawings, written instructions
Basic level knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) and understanding of bolts, screws, nuts, and more.
Basic computer skills needed to be able to perform documentation
Basic mathematics, calculations, including ratios and fractions
Exhibit strong mechanical knowledge
Experience with ERP systems in highly preferred
Understanding of 5S and Lean Manufacturing practices is a plus
U.S. Person for access to ITAR-Controlled Technical Data. ITAR regulations dictate that information and material pertaining to defense and military related technologies may only be shared with US Persons unless authorization from the Department of State is received or a special exemption is used
Schedule: 1st Shift 5am-1:30pm Monday-Friday
Possible Overtime work on Saturday
Pay Rate: $20/hr plus overtime as needed.
*Pay Rate offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
