I. General Job Description


This position oversees the day-to-day administration of all group-insured benefits and leave programs, including FMLA, ADAA, state-specific paid leave (CA/OR/WA), Workers' Compensation, and Sick/Vacation Leave. The role is based at our corporate office and ensures compliance, accuracy, and seamless execution of benefits processes.

Responsibilities


Insured Benefits

  • Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of required reporting and fees.
  • Process benefit enrollments, COBRA, coverage terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability claims, accident claims, and death claims.
  • Oversee employee benefits files, maintain group benefits database, and update employee payroll records.
  • Collect employee data and process monthly billings and prepare payment of administrative fees for all group plans.
  • Develop communication tools to improve employee understanding of the company's benefits package.
  • Assist with the design and distribution of materials for benefits orientations and open enrollment.

Workers' Compensation

  • Process all Injury Reports and manage Workers' Compensation cases.
  • Report, maintain, and monitor all Workers' Compensation Case files and follow-up on open cases.
  • Prepare light-duty job descriptions.
  • Track KOS (Kept on Salary) Program.

Leave Benefits

  • Responsible for processing FMLA, ADAA, CA Paid Family Leave, WA Paid Family Leave, and Pregnancy Leave, including coordination of all leave benefits both State and Federal.

II. Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources, specifically administering employee benefits and leave programs.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and benefit administration systems.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), with experience in benefits-related reporting and data management.
  • In-depth understanding of federal and state labor laws related to benefits, including FMLA, ADAA, and state-specific paid leave policies.
  • Strong knowledge of Workers' Compensation processes and legal requirements.

III. Desired Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as an HR Generalist.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish/English.

  • Mathematics: Ability to compute, analyze, and interpret numerical data for reporting purposes.
