Position Summary:
• The Supplier Management Specialist is responsible for assuring compliance with internal procedures/policies, as well as FDA regulations and guidance at Nephron Pharmaceuticals Corporation and Nephron 503B Outsourcing Facility.
• The Supplier Management Specialist will work directly with all of Nephron's departments to ensure qualification, on-going monitored, and approval of suppliers/vendors to ensure the company has the materials and services needed to conduct business.
• Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and resourcefulness to support fast-changing program requirements.
• Be able to work with little to no supervision.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to address quality concerns applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills to drive resolution.
• Monitor and manage supplier performance metrics, ensuring alignment with company standards and expectations
• Act as a primary point of contact for suppliers fostering strong relationships to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and present reports or updates to management providing clear, concise and actionable verbiage
• Lead or assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions that will protect Nephron from supplier issues
• Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.
• Assist with additional work duties or responsibilities as required.
Primary Accountabilities:

• Ensure suppliers/vendors are qualified, evaluated, and monitored in accordance with governing procedures and work instructions.
• Execute overall supplier qualification activities such as questionnaires, quality agreements, non-disclosure agreements, change notification agreements, supplier/vendor information, product/service information, certifications, FDA registration and inspection data, and all other required activities or documentation in accordance with governing procedures and work instructions.
• Ensure suppliers/vendors performance evaluations are promptly completed in correlation with the supplier/vendor's risk type.
• Maintain current supplier/vendor certifications and files.
• Review supplier/vendor audit reports, track responses for corrective and preventive actions, and close out audits.
• Utilize spreadsheets to track and manage the Supplier Management Program's workload.
• Coordinate, manage, and complete primary tasks and special projects with minimal oversight.
• Collaborate with suppliers on quality/service related issues to ensure Nephron is protected from future non-conformances via root cause and countermeasures resolution
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Regionally accredited business-related or science degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2 years pharmaceutical experience preferred or equivalent experience.
• Specific expertise, skills and knowledge within cGMP gained through education and experience.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees, management, and suppliers/vendors.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experienced in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• A broad perspective that aligns decisions to organizational objectives and long-term results of day-to-day activities.
• The ability to take strategic objectives and accept accountability to drive results through effective actions.
• The ability and willingness to change direction and focus to meet shifting organizational and business demands.
