Our client is seeking a GCP Lead with Data integration Experience for a remote opportunity.
Role Description
About the role:
We are looking for a Data Engineer with extensive experience in building data integration pipelines in the CI/CD model
Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and development of data integration pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Manage a team of data engineers and guide them in building high-performance data pipelines.
• Ensure data quality, transformation, and efficient storage.
• Support reporting models and downstream application needs.
• Design and develop data pipeline frameworks from scratch.
• Oversee data ingestion, quality, curation, transformation, and storage.
• Perform data reconciliation, monitoring, and controls.
• Provide technical leadership and contribute to the integration, testing, documentation, and support across multiple platforms.
• Establish project management frameworks and processes for high-quality software delivery.
• Conduct code reviews and guide the team in adhering to defined standards.
• Perform proof-of-concepts (POCs) on open-source/licensed tools and share recommendations.
Skills & Requirements
Must Haves:
• 5+ Years of Lead experience
• Extensive experience in building data integration pipelines in a CI/CD model.
• Proficiency in GCP tools such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Dataproc.
• Strong coding skills in Python, PySpark, SQL, and shell scripting.
• Experience with data warehousing, distributed data platforms, and data lakes.
• Excellent structured thinking skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams
