Description: Working with a food manufacturer in the Phoenix area seeking a Quality Control Technician over 1st shift. This person is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of food products throughout the manufacturing process. This includes conducting routine inspections, tests, and analyses to verify compliance with established quality standards and regulatory requirements. Position requires flexibility to work OT.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to identify any defects or non-conformities.
Perform various laboratory tests, such as microbiological, chemical, and physical analyses, to assess product quality and safety.
Collect and analyze data to identify trends and potential issues in the production process.
Monitor critical control points (CCPs) to ensure they are maintained within established limits.
Review and verify production records and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Investigate customer complaints and take corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Participate in internal audits and assist with external audits as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Adhere to all safety and hygiene protocols.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Food science or related technical degree preferred.
Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety and quality standards, including HACCP and GMPs.
Proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
