Job Title: Medical Assistant
Job Type: Contract
Location: Fort Worth, TX 76132
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday - Friday)
Rate: Competitive & Dependent on Experience
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform all duties within the scope of a Medical Assistant's practice.
- Room patients according to policy and procedures, preparing them for examination.
- Accurately and promptly record patient care documentation in the medical record.
- Coordinate patient care as directed by physicians, company standards, and policies.
- Always respect patient confidentiality and treat patients with courtesy and respect.
- Organize exam and treatment rooms, ensuring they are stocked and clean.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
- Perform simple specimen collection via noninvasive techniques and collect blood specimens via venipuncture; perform EKGs.
- Practice standard infection control precautions.
- Operate diagnostic equipment (cannot interpret tests); administer non-intravenous medication.
Required Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to perform simple specimen collection via noninvasive techniques.
- Ability to collect blood specimens via venipuncture, and perform EKGs.
