We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Content Strategist to lead the charge in crafting compelling and impactful experiences for our CxO events. You will be the driving force behind the content strategy, speaker selection, Google Cloud narrative and ensuring alignment with event goals. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional communication and project management skills, a passion for technology, and a knack for understanding the needs and interests of C-level executives.
Responsibilities:
Content Strategy:
Develop and drive the overarching content strategy for CxO events, including defining content goals, crafting compelling narratives, and setting the agenda and run of show.
Design innovative session formats that foster engagement and knowledge sharing among attendees.
Curate themes and topics that resonate with CxO interests and address current industry challenges and opportunities.
Own the attendee experience from a content perspective, ensuring a seamless and valuable journey.
Speaker Acquisition:
Lead the nomination and selection process for Google, and luminary speakers, securing top talent that aligns with event themes and objectives.
Liaise with customer teams to secure customer speakers.
Stakeholder Management:
Manage and provide regular updates to event stakeholders and leadership, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the event planning process.
Team Leadership & Planning:
Manage the core content team, defining roles and responsibilities, and overseeing project plans and timelines.
Keynote & Session Management:
Oversee all aspects of keynote speaker and session management, including internal and external communications, content development, and logistical coordination.
Craft compelling talking points and messaging for keynote sessions, ensuring alignment with overall event narrative in partnership with product marketing and customer offices.
Oversee the development and execution of breakout sessions, ensuring high-quality content and engaging formats.
Content Production:
Liaise with content producers to schedule keynote rehearsals, table reads, and other production activities.
Provide guidance and feedback on content production to ensure alignment with event goals and quality standards.
Skill/Experience/Education
MandatoryBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in content strategy and event planning, with a focus on executive audiences. Proven track record of developing and executing successful content strategies for high-profile events. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Deep understanding of the technology industry and trends relevant to CxOs. Experience working with and managing speakers, including executives, luminaries and industry leaders. Able to articulate ideas clearly, persuasively and with influence; strong executive presence. Ability to contribute in a cross-functional environment and with competing stakeholder ideas. Has outstanding problem solving skills, is resourceful and a creative thinker. Remains calm and maintains good judgment under pressure and in high stress environments. Prepared to get hands-on and in the trenches whenever help is needed. Self motivated and able to 'thrive and navigate in ambiguity' Willing to travel and work flexible hours
