We are seeking a full-time Senior Business Analystin our Yarmouth, ME location. This role requires you to currently live in ME. No relocation available. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering, documenting, managing and effectively communicating user requirements for large to very large size projects of high complexity for products across multiple strategic channels, with multiple disparate stakeholders.
Essential Functions
Serve as the functional product owner, working with enterprise stakeholders to drive application/technology solutions and related business processes including determining strategic channels roadmap
Understand and communicate business impact of issues and how they relate to Engineering owned solutions
Actively implement continuous improvement on an enterprise level for business processes and Engineering business analysis processes
Proactively identify and contribute to the resolution of ancillary discrepancies and conflicts between interdepartmental applications and strategic channels on an enterprise level
Manage reconciliation and drive consensus regarding business tactical and strategic direction
Seen as the go-to subject matter expert for application/technology solutions and related business processes within the enterprise
Make substantial contributions to determining feasibility of team or functional goals/objectives
Provide reliable solutions to a wide range of difficult problems including evaluation of new technologies to improve existing functions
Demonstrate broad understanding of Garmin's business model including Engineering, Operations, Finance, Sales & Marketing
Work with language services and country business units to ensure translations are correct
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business or relevant field AND a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
Demonstrated mastery of business analysis principles and methodologies and ability to apply and adapt them into requirements which meet business needs
Demonstrated facilitation and leadership expertise in the development of product/concept development plans
Proven track record in successfully executing projects of any scale or complexity
Demonstrated advanced understanding of production and operations issues as they relate to engineering project management, including the ability to successfully identify and mitigate risks
Demonstrated superior analytical skills including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translating them into application and operational requirements
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)
Agile/Scrum methodology experience and/or training
Experience with JIRA
Knowledge of human factors in UX design
International communications experience
