The Membership Trainer will create, plan, conduct and evaluate customized training programs to develop Membership staff. Creates, publishes, and maintains membership manuals and training materials, for in classroom use and/or virtually, to be used by all Membership staff, corporate audit, and other areas of the company. Provide performance feedback to representatives and leadership staff for appropriate coaching actions. Provide post training support to coach and answer questions and assist others on a daily basis with solving problems related to work processes and procedures. Facilitate calibration meetings amongst the Membership department with all stakeholders to identify improved workflow and efficiencies. Analyze and track results of second look quality reports to assist in identifying areas of individual educational needs and/or manual and procedure updates.

Compensation

What you'll do
Responsibilities:
Train new, progressive and/or promoting employees on phone calls, call guides, emails, membership guidelines, procedures, processes, and systems for all production areas of Membership. Will plan and train through virtual and classroom settings, mini teaches or sessions, individually, on the job, over the phone, role play exercises, and verbal or electronic presentations.
Train new and existing employees on BCBSKS policies, procedures, and government mandates and laws that apply to Membership, and answer any questions as these change.
Creates e-learning modules that can be used by staff both in and outside of Membership to gain knowledge or to show how to process work. Responsible for maintaining e-learning modules as changes are implemented.
Responsible for providing turnaround times that ensure staff can achieve individual, departmental, and corporate goals, and to ensure that areas of weakness are identified, addressed at the earliest possible time, and communicated with unit supervisor.
Serve in a supervisory role to trainees during training sessions. This includes monitoring, coaching, counseling, and documenting attendance, behavior, and performance, and then providing all necessary documentation to production supervision post-training.
Identify training needs on all new or changing products, systems, government laws, mandates, and policies at the individual, unit, and department level to improve accuracy of the department and service to customers. Work with supervision to identify other training and reference material needs for existing staff.
Meets regularly with other staff, trainers, and supervisors to ensure consistency and to share ideas for improvement.
Recognizes and accepts responsibility of achieving goals to meet MTM goals as well as individual and department goals.
Create, maintain, and publish Membership manuals, procedures, learning aids, roadmaps, lesson plans, worksheets, games, activities, and trainee workbooks to be used for in person and/or virtual training.
Responsible for participating and possibly leading meetings and other events as it pertains to the training goals set by the company.

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with all levels of clients and staff, both internally and externally.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Requires the ability to obtain a thorough knowledge of Membership systems.
Decision making techniques, situation appraisal and problem solving required.
Ability to write effectively and provide written and verbal feedback that will motivate, coach and develop employees.
Ability to serve on cross departmental or cross divisional teams / meetings as needed for supervision in regard to quality and training, additional education and coaching.
Education and Experience:
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Required to maintain continuous education to learn additional lines of business within Membership.
Two-years Operations experience or one-year experience in a training role or equivalent related work experience is required.
Competent in a minimum of 2 lines of business, preferred. The two lines of business is determined based on the business need
Physical Requirements
Ability to work on a PC for up to 90% of the day.
