JOB RESPONSIBILITIES





Process Improvement


  • Facilitate technology analysis and improvement processes.


  • Assist groups in defining and understanding their current technology profile and future needs.


  • Collaborate with IS technical resources to define technical criteria for selecting vendor solutions.


  • Coordinate the vendor selection process effectively.


  • Acquire minimal domain knowledge to identify and address key project requirements and issues.


  • Recruit expert resources to ensure state-of-the-art technology is presented and evaluated.




Project Management


  • Develop expertise in CCHMC's IS project management processes.


  • Create and manage project plans, timelines, and activities.


  • Maintain critical project documentation, including:


    • Issue lists


    • Build and decision documentation


    • Meeting minutes and agendas


    • Status reports and other key tools




  • Facilitate cross-functional work teams, including internal employees, technical support, operations personnel, vendors, clinicians, hospital administration, and end users.


  • Provide regular project updates and status reports to IS management.


  • Ensure timely escalation of issues when necessary.




Mentorship


  • Mentor other Implementation Coordinators.


  • Coordinate the design and refinement of internal processes.


  • Support coordination of internal IS activities as needed.




Project Coordination


  • Ensure project governance, key stakeholders, and teams are informed of project progress and issues.


  • Manage multidisciplinary discussions to promote understanding of processes and technical concerns across groups.


  • Collaborate with IS management to coordinate enterprise communication.


  • Perform additional duties as assigned.




Workflow Analysis and Improvement


  • Facilitate the analysis and improvement of workflows.


  • Enable groups to define and understand current workflows and identify areas for enhancement or redesign.


  • Develop clear diagrams of current and future process flows.


  • Coordinate technical/application resources to analyze the impact of changes to systems and processes.


  • Understand the complexities of change management in a large academic healthcare institution.


  • Guide groups in evaluating meaningful and practical options for workflow improvement.





JOB QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in a related field


  • 5+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
