JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting- After careful analysis, develop and present comprehensive reports to inform and suggest changes needed to reach current and future goals. Assist in defining measurements and outcomes for work. Develop executive summary reports on projects and progress to facilitate communication and stakeholder engagement throughout projects.
Business Planning and Strategy- Collaborate with executive leadership on developing strategic initiatives and aligning individual plans across the organization to the institutional strategic plan. Assist business units and division in the preparation of business plans, financial models and strategies for existing programs and new ventures. Lead business plan consulting and development services for internal customers. Support key strategic initiatives through information development and management. Introduce and support solutions for strategic issues. Facilitate and coordinate major organizational projects and initiatives from concept to execution. Formulate strategies or suggest improvement to current business plans, policies and procedures.
Process Improvement- Identify, lead, and direct process/quality improvement/assurance activities for business and strategic planning projects. Develop and continuously improve analytical and business planning methodologies, tools, techniques and resources delivered by the Planning department to customers. Support ongoing planning skills development of team members.
Data Analysis- Develop and analyze internal data through Decision Support and other resources to aid Senior Leadership in data-driven decision making. Conduct organizational reviews to identify strengths, weaknesses and opportunities. Evaluate operational effectiveness. Other areas of analysis include comparison of competitors' current and future strategies, review of current and future financial needs, and forecasting future economic and consumer trends.
Project Portfolio Management- Organize and manage the portfolio of projects on which Strategic Planners are engaged. Provide leadership and oversight for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring quality of deliverables and consistency with organizational strategy, commitments and goals. Support project scoping, approach development, strategy development as well as risk and issue management across Planning projects. Communicate progress and status regularly to the Assistant Vice President of Planning and other key stakeholders.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree
MBA, MHA, CPA or other Master's degree
7+ years experience in planning, financial modeling or data analysis
Project management experience
Experience in healthcare
