About the Role

The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and submitting accurate pricing proposals in response to government solicitations. Your work will ensure that pricing is competitive, compliant with all relevant federal and state regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS), and aligned with company business objectives. You will collaborate with business development, contracts, legal, and finance teams to support contract negotiations and pricing strategies for various government contracts.

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Develop cost proposals for government contracts, including detailed labor, material, overhead, and other direct cost structures.

  • Analyze RFP (Request for Proposal) requirements, ensuring compliance with government regulations (FAR, DFARS, CAS).

  • Coordinate with program managers and technical teams to understand cost drivers and establish accurate pricing models.

  • Prepare pricing narratives and justification documentation in accordance with government contracting rules.

  • Build cost models and develop pricing strategies that meet both competitive market standards and profitability goals.

  • Evaluate the impact of different pricing strategies on win rates and profitability for government contracts.

  • Ensure all pricing proposals comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including government cost accounting standards (CAS) and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).

  • Maintain familiarity with pricing regulations, audits, and industry best practices.

  • Assist in audits by preparing documentation and justifications for the government pricing team or external auditors.

  • Work closely with the business development and contracts teams to develop competitive yet profitable pricing for government contracts.

  • Support the preparation of pricing templates and cost volumes for government proposals.

  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to understand competitors' pricing models and identify opportunities for competitive advantage.

  • Monitor industry trends and regulations to ensure pricing strategies remain aligned with market conditions and government procurement guidelines.

  • Perform related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice – management reserves the right to revise these duties as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field

  • 3-5 years of related experience

  • Good understanding of multiple contract types: FFP, T&M, CPFF

  • Experience in federal government contracting required

  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills

  • Experience in Unanet accounting software is preferred 

  • Experience in MS Office is required

  • Experience with federal, state, or local government procurement regulations (FAR, DFARS, CAS) and pricing models is strongly preferred.

  • Experience in preparing cost proposals for government bids, including labor rates, overhead rates, and indirect cost allocations.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to build and analyze cost models and pricing scenarios.

  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all cost estimates and pricing proposals.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders

  • Must possess strong computer skills in MS Office, including Excel, Word, Team

  • Ability to type 45 wpm

Work Environment

This is a remote opportunity where occasional travel may be required, as needed. Since this is a remote role, must have a dedicated workspace conducive to full videoconferencing (camera and audio) for facilitating webinars and online discussions.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position that typically works business hours Monday through Friday. Hours may vary depending on needs and may at times include travel, evenings, or weekends to meet specific project requirements.

Condition of employment

•Complete a rigorous culture and competency testing process

•Must be at least 21 years of age

•A valid US Driver’s license

•Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

Security Clearance Requirements

•Applicants selected will be subject to a government background investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

•Must be a U.S Citizen or Permanent Resident

•Residency requirement - 3 consecutive years in the last 5 years.

Physical Demands

•Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must have mobility to attend meetings with other managers and employees.

•Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 10% of the time.

•Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 10% of the time.

•Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to write, type and use a telephone system 100% of the time.

•Sitting: Sitting for prolonged and extended periods of time.
