Remains within compliance while keeping the team safe and still driving for results
Performs preventative, corrective, and emergency mechanical maintenance under the direction of the Facility Manager or supporting managers and equipment suppliers
Maintains stock level
Sets up and operates machines and adjusts controls that regulate function to ensure conformance to specifications
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
Essential skills and experience:
Previous Forklift operator certification
Valid California Driver’s License
Accurately add, subtract, multiply in units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Good Working Knowledge of Computers MS Office skills, especially MS Excel
Capability and initiative to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on basic electro-mechanical equipment
Ability to follow instructions
Able to interpret part specifications, drawings, and customer design requirements
Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, maintenance, and procedural manuals
Background in hydraulic press operation preferred
Able to handle hazardous materials safely
Ability to manage multiple projects in a varied pace & changing priority environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to do own equipment set-ups
Knowledgeable in the use of calipers and micrometers, measurement devices
Knowledgeable in the application of Utility Ground/Lineman tooling is preferred
Role qualifications:
Independent travel to field sites throughout California upon short notice, requiring overnight stay
Ability to manage and perform tasks in a safe and conscientious manner
Ability to provide excellent end-user customer service
Ability to take direction and prioritize daily responsibilities
Ability to work as a team player
Ability to multi-task and stay focused
Demonstrates initiative and works independently
Experience with hand tools, hydraulic machine press operation
Mechanical background, ability to work with hands
Detail oriented
Available to respond to call-ins or weekend overtime demands, adapting to varied workload
Ability to pass background and drug/alcohol test
