Key Responsibilities:




  • Assembly: Follow detailed assembly instructions, diagrams, and blueprints to build sub-assemblies accurately.



  • Quality Control: Inspect parts and assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Report any defects or quality issues to the supervisor.



  • Tool Utilization: Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and machinery necessary for assembly tasks.



  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of parts and components, ensuring adequate stock for assembly tasks. Communicate needs to inventory or purchasing departments.



  • Workstation Maintenance: Keep work area clean and organized, adhering to 5S principles or equivalent standards for workplace organization.



  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Participate in safety training and initiatives.



  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production goals. Assist in training new employees when necessary.



  • Documentation: Complete production records, logs, and any required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.





Qualifications:




  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.



  • Experience: Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training will be provided.



  • Skills:

    • Basic mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.


    • Ability to read and understand technical documents, diagrams, and schematics.


    • Good hand-eye coordination.


    • Basic math skills for measurements and counting.







Additional Desired Qualifications:



  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices.


  • Experience with specific assembly tools or equipment relevant to the industry.



Work Environment:



  • This position operates in a manufacturing environment which may involve exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.
