Project Coordinator



Job Summary

Prepares grant applications, manuscripts, Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications, research papers, and assists with complex research papers. Audits research studies, monitors study budgets, resolves complex data collection issues, and implements protocol-specific study recruitment plans. Trains staff and oversees student workers; leads team meetings. Monitors study budgets and orders supplies.


Essential Functions

The Field Coordinator is responsible for recruiting and supervising data collectors and providing the research team with feedback from both the data collection team as well as the field coordinator’s experience and interaction with the community. The field coordinator is responsible for hiring data collectors and serves an integral role in connecting the research team with the team of community-based data collectors and the broader community. The field coordinator is also responsible for coordinating community outreach, in conjunction with all community partners. They are the point person for the community advisory board, and is responsible for retention of enrolled participants as well as dissemination of study information to the Hill District and Homewood communities. Candidates should have familiarity with Hill District and Homewood areas


Physical Effort

Generally sedentary although travel to Homewood and Hill District areas will be frequent
