Summary of Duties:
Under the Supervision of the Divisional Controller, this position must be capable to work and oversee several different functions of the Finance Department. This will include General Accounting, Variance Accounting, Accounts Rec/Pay reviews, Customer Sales and Order reporting. Employee must be adaptable to change and willing to learn multiple functions as he/she may accommodate certain advanced Accounting procedures.
Essential Functions:
Perform month end closing procedures, reporting, and reconciliation to Controller
Database management to generate Customer Orders and Sales reports
Maintain Commission activity for External sales Reps and internal salesmen
Must be proficient in Excel with intermediate to high level functions
Coordinate A/P activity for local suppliers with central services
Work with Time reporting system to develop labor efficiency reporting.
Development of Expense Analysis and billing as needed.
Various miscellaneous analyses.
Maintain Fleet vehicle requirements and service
All other duties, in accordance with parameters and established by the Controller, to be performed as requested.
Marginal Functions:
May be asked to assist in more advanced Accounting tasks.
Physical Abilities and Environment:
Work is performed in an office environment.
Requires the ability to use a PC.
Physical positions while performing duties include: sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching and kneeling.
Physical capabilities require lifting up to 20 lbs., intermittently. Good mobility to travel from department to department including stairways.
Good sense of sight, hearing and touch required to communicate with internal and external customers.
Education, Experience, Special Skills Required:
2-yr college degree (Accounting Degree preferred but not required).
Manufacturing Work Environment experience
Accounting/office Background with minimum 2-5 yrs experience
Computer knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, SAP.
Confidentiality essential.
Basic Analytical skills required.
Solid oral and written communication skills required.
Must be a self-starter.
