Job Description: Magnetic Technologies Corporation
Brief Summary of Position:
A Team Leader is responsible for overseeing teams of employees and motivating them to complete their job duties effectively. Their duties include training new employees and providing Team Members with daily objectives, developing and implementing reward systems to motivate employee productivity and communicating with upper management to determine the best methods for meeting business goals.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions of Position:
Perform all Quality Control and test operations and maintain appropriate files and reports
Develop a strategy that the team members can use to better reach a project’s goal
Ship coils, and perform other duties as assigned
Maintain and update Quality system
Perform Audits when requested
Be proficient in the use of a number of precision measuring equipment and machines.
Monitor inventory
Communicate clear instructions to team members
Manage the flow of day-to-day operations
Create and distribute reports to update the company on the team’s progress
Train new solenoid personnel
Assure that the solenoid shop remains clean and safe and in compliance with all OSHA and EPA regulations
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent with previous experience as a team leader or working experience within current organization
The ability to develop, implement and assess performance metrics
Advanced knowledge in common office applications and word processing software
Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures
Understanding of safety practices
Friendly, outgoing personality
Strong customer service skills
Working Conditions:
Standard work week is Monday through Friday, hours to be consistent with business unit; some off hours work may be expected
Working in production environment.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
Standing, sitting and/or working at a computer for extended periods of time
