Summary


Lincoln Electric is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager for our Euclid, OH World Headquarters. The Manufacturing Operations Manager will be responsible for leading and optimizing the manufacturing operations of our Flux Consumables division. You will oversee processes, manage personnel, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient production while strictly adhering to safety and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production performance, meet operational goals, and maintain a safe and productive working environment.

What You Will Do:





  • Production Leadership: Direct, coordinate, and manage all production activities within the department, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing outputs.

  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate core team members while overseeing cross-functional teams. Foster a collaborative environment to achieve departmental objectives.

  • Safety & Compliance: Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility by enforcing safe work practices, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations, and fostering a safe work environment.

  • Process Improvement: Drive the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes using root cause analysis, Lean, Six Sigma, and other process optimization techniques.

  • New Product Launches: Oversee the successful introduction and scaling of new products within the department, ensuring seamless integration into existing processes and meeting quality standards.

  • Quality Control: Ensure the consistent production of high-quality products by collaborating with quality control teams to establish and monitor robust quality assurance processes.

  • Operational Efficiency: Monitor and drive the achievement of departmental goals and performance metrics, ensuring efficient resource allocation and optimized production timelines.

  • Staffing & Flexibility: Ensure that staffing levels align with production needs, ensuring workforce flexibility and responsiveness to changes in customer demand or production schedules.

  • Policy Development: Develop, implement, and continuously update operational policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize production workflows and enhance employee productivity.

  • Financial Oversight: Manage the department's budget, implement cost controls, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and maximization of departmental profitability.

  • Training & Development: Identify training needs, plan, and facilitate employee training interventions to enhance skills in safety, quality, and efficiency, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.

  • Performance Management: Conduct performance evaluations for team members, providing constructive feedback, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring alignment with departmental objectives.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the General Manager or Plant Manager to report on departmental performance, production status, and future needs. Maintain effective communication across all organizational levels to ensure alignment and progress towards goals.



Required Skills & Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field; Technical or Engineering degree preferred.
  • Prior management or supervisory experience, with a track record of success in leading manufacturing teams or similar operations preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence at all organizational levels.
  • A strong customer-centric mindset, with a deep commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, health, and quality standards.
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and organize teams, with a focus on employee motivation, accountability, and performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve production and employee issues professionally and effectively.
  • Ability to introduce and drive change initiatives while ensuring employee buy-in and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Knowledge of Apriso and SAP systems is a plus.
  • Experience in a Lean or Continuous Improvement-focused manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of relevant company policies, industry regulations, and best practices in manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to be fitted and wear a respirator on an occasional basis.
