PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for development, planning and scheduling of proposals
Complies cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with RFP/RFQ/Solicitations
Develop and maintain effective processes and tools/templates for department to support company policies and procedures
Coordinate with other departments as needed to provide effective reporting and proposal logging information
Coordinates the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments
Researches and analyzes historical data
Oversight of all quotes/proposals
Responsible for receipt, set-up, tracking
Verification that all requirements have been addressed
Manage proposals and all deliverables as needed, including:
Determining/managing schedules for IPT and keeping all members on track
Assigning work packages
Coordinating content submission from writers
Submitting responses on-time
Final editing and formatting
Developing Compelling Messages for Customers
Prepare and support PM/Contracts groups on presentation of proposal packages
Provides input to management regarding problems such as scheduling problems, strategic changes, backlogs and resource constraints
Responsible for gathering lessons learned through after action reports
Collaborates with cross functional project teams to create and implement short and long-term schedules that meet customer/contract requirements
Participates in fact-finding, requirements analysis and capture meetings
Perform other duties and special tasks as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
B.S./B.A. Degree in Finance, Business Engineering, or related discipline
Knowledge of Government contract accounting and financing desirable, CAS, DCAA, DCMA, FAR, DFAR
Highly organized with an acute attention to detail
Strong writing, formatting, and editing skills are required
Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills are required
High level of interpersonal communication skills
Strong planning and organizational skills
Experience with monitoring software, troubleshooting, and usage analysis
Proficient computer knowledge and skills, including MS Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
PHYSICAL EFFORT
Sight: must be able to regularly read computer screen, reports, and various documents with detail and clarity to accomplish work tasks in a safe and efficient manner, including regular use of adequate close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
Hearing: must be able to regularly hear well enough to communicate
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Location: This position operates between an office and manufacturing plant environment and is often assigned to a specific shift or hours. The Employee must be able to perform job functions in an environment with varying difficult work conditions such as extreme cold, heat, inclement weather, at heights, and/or while exposed to constant/intermittent loud noises
Teamwork: This position will work with others to ensure efficiency in the workplace
Listening Skills: This position will need to understand how to use machinery properly and safely to prevent accidents and ensure all tasks are completed accurately
Ability to follow instructions: Managers assign tasks and responsibilities, which vary; this position should be able to follow instructions competently
Methodical approach: Production lines follow a set process, so this position needs a methodical approach to ensure all tasks are completed in the correct order for a smooth-running production line
Concentration: This position may perform the same or similar tasks repeatedly, so a strong level of concentration when carrying out these tasks is important for quality control purposes. This role is often fast paced, so being able to maintain focus at all times is important
