Clinical Trials Manager, Royal Canin NA (North America)
The Clinical Trials Manager is the steward/guardian of the science supporting Royal Canin diets and claims in North America. Evidence-based nutrition is vital to the success of our diets and the health of cats and dogs.
What are we looking for?
DVM/VMD or equivalent from AVMA-accredited veterinary college
(Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams),
and Internet.
Proven ongoing learning to develop industry skills and stay current with advances in science, medicine, and the veterinary profession.
Preference for board certification in nutrition or small animal internal medicine
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, experience with public speaking and teaching
Ability to travel 30-40% (International travel also required)
What will be your key responsibilities?
Clinical Trials Strategy
Liaise with Royal Canin Global Scientific Affairs, Global R&D and Scientific Affairs teams from other Mars subsidiaries as needed to collaborate on projects, share information and provide input, representing the RCNA market perspective.
Work with RCNA scientific communication teams to align regional clinical trial activity with global projects, identifying gaps vs. needs to develop strategic plan/roadmap meeting regional market needs.
Develop and launch RCNA clinical trials strategy, in conjunction with global teams.
Lead and responsible for the planning, implementation and conduct of regional studies (clinical trials, observational studies/reports, post-launch trials, etc.) that are performed specifically for the RCNA business to meet agreed upon timelines and budget.
Present at veterinary conferences and other internal/external meetings to explain the science behind our products.
Communicate RCNA clinical trials strategy objectives and results back to business leaders.
Serve as the gatekeeper for all external clinical trial requests and scientific partnerships within the RCNA market, ensuring that investments made are aligned with our strategic business and scientific needs.
Resident Support Program Management/Administration
Communicate and collaborate with key industry partners regarding regional resident programs including ACVD and ACVIM.
Develop and deliver content relevant to resident journey in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders/subject matter experts.
Program oversight & administration including communication directly with participants (i.e. residents).
Communicate program objectives and results back to business leaders.

Thebase pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the below range, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, andexperience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay & general allowances (depending on the positionand employee's work schedule). Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicablepolicies andplans then in effect, and depending on the position offered and the employee's work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule), eligible employees are automatically enrolled in a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee's eligible dependents, and may be eligible to take up to 18 weeks of paid parental leave.Employees will also receivethe following paid-time off (which may be prorated based on start date and the employee's work schedule):120 hours of vacation per year, paid sick time for eligible Associates of 100% pay continuation for a maximum of 40 hours per calendar year,and 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year that include both fixed and flexible holidays.
